In this session, we will highlight PetroVietnam Power's $521.5 million 12-year ECA-backed financing for Vietnam's first LNG to electricity plant. Backed by both SERV and KSURE based on supplies from General Electric and Samsung C&T, this standout deal syndicated among seven banks is crucial to ensure Vietnam's energy security whilst moving away from coal and allowing for renewables to be added to the grid. This session will look at: 

- What makes this financing unique?

- What obstacles were overcome in the structuring of this deal? 

- What is the significance of this deal in the diversification of energy in Vietnam? 

In this design thinking workshop, we will split the room into separate roundtables. Each roundtable will ‘design’ the perfect agency, considering user-centricity, challenge and risk assumptions, problem solving and innovation, and feed back to the rest of the group at the end.

Hear from representatives from every DACH ECA, on what they are doing to prioritise sustainable projects and incentivise green exports, what is being done to facilitate access to export finance for SMEs, and how DACH ECAs are expanding into new emerging markets amid an increased demand for support. 

This country-focussed workshop gathers corporates and lenders active in the Turkey region to discuss: 

• Where do you see the biggest growth opportunities for Turkish exporters—traditional sectors like textiles and machinery, or emerging ones like green tech and renewables?

• How can Turkish companies best balance local content requirements with the need to stay internationally competitive?

• To what extent can blended finance (mix of public, ECA, and private) unlock bigger, bolder projects in Turkey?

 This session will explore how DACH export finance is supporting green infrastructure, mobilizing capital for climate-friendly projects, and adapting to evolving regulatory frameworks, addressing questions such as:

  How can ECAs better collaborate with DFIs and commercial banks to accelerate the green transition, especially in emerging markets?

• What are some of the most effective or innovative financial instruments that support decarbonisation in export-heavy sectors?

• How are ECAs balancing the need for immediate economic growth (and supply chain pressures) with long-term sustainability and net zero targets?

This regional workshop gathers corporates and lenders active in the Central Asia region to discuss: 

• The region’s role as a key hub for critical minerals 

• The impact of new trade corridors in Central Asia

• The potential for increased strategic collaboration with Europe

We often hear from the most senior in the industry, but this session gives the stage to the younger generation of bankers, corporates and service providers who are innovating and growing the industry. Kicking off with an updated from FEX, we will then invite some new, junior faces to the stage to discuss the future of the export finance market, and what the younger generation of talent is looking for.

The need for lighting investment and infrastructure in Africa is less talked about than rail and road, but is just as important. This session will look at: 

• What role do international exporters and ECAs play in supporting African lighting projects?

• A case-study look into how a Senegalese lighting project is collaborating with and boosting the local economy 

• How do financing and funding limitations affect the rollout of large-scale lighting projects in African cities?

This session gathers DACH exporters to talk sustainability, to mitigating global disruptions, and scale into new international markets, addressing questions such as:

• 
  How are exporters coping and adapting amid geopolitical risks and sanctions? 
• How much of a problem is a lack of global standards surrounding what is considered ‘green’? 
• Is there an increased need for blended finance as exporters’s needed become increasingly complex?

This session will focus on the Middle East and Africa, looking at the opportunity gap, the Middle East’s growing role, and the importance of collaboration in de-risking, addressing questions such as: 

• Are international agencies adequately adapting their risk models to get projects financed in Africa? 

• With the Middle East becoming a huge demand center for export finance, are traditional ECAs and banks moving fast enough to capitalise on this?

• How is the GCC-Africa trade corridor changing the competitive landscape for European players in Africa?
